Quality products deserve quality care. Everything in the EnergyEssence collection is designed to last, but longevity requires attention. Here's how to maintain your natural stone jewellery, essential oils, candles, and crystal trees.
Natural Stone Bracelets and Necklaces
Daily wear: Natural stones are durable, but they're not indestructible. Avoid exposing them to water, harsh chemicals, perfumes, or lotions. Put your jewelry on after you've applied skincare products, not before.
Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to remove oils and dust. Do not use chemical cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners. If your piece gets wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth.
Storage: Store jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving it in humid environments like bathrooms. If you're not wearing it daily, keep it in a soft pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratching.
Elastic care: Bracelets are strung on elastic cord. Over time, elastic can stretch or weaken. Avoid pulling or stretching the bracelet unnecessarily. Roll it on and off your wrist gently. If the elastic shows signs of wear, it can be restrung.
Essential Oil Roll-Ons
Storage: Keep roll-ons in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Essential oils degrade when exposed to light and high temperatures. A drawer or cabinet works well.
Application: Roll onto pulse points—wrists, temples, behind the ears, or the base of the neck. A little goes a long way. You don't need to apply heavily.
Shelf life: Essential oils have a shelf life of 1–2 years when stored properly. If the scent changes significantly or the oil becomes cloudy, it's time to replace it.
Travel: Roll-ons are travel-friendly, but make sure the cap is tightly sealed to prevent leaks. Store upright when possible.
Soy Wax Candles
First burn: The first time you light a candle, let it burn until the wax melts evenly across the entire surface. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle.
Wick maintenance: Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use. This prevents smoking, uneven burning, and soot buildup. Use scissors or a wick trimmer.
Burn time: Don't burn candles for more than 3–4 hours at a time. Let the wax cool and solidify before relighting.
Safety: Always burn candles on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, and anything that could catch fire. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Jar care: Once the candle is finished, clean out the jar with warm soapy water. The matte jar can be reused for storage or as a small planter.
Crystal Trees
Placement: Crystal trees are decorative and functional. Place them on a stable surface where they won't be knocked over. Avoid areas with high humidity or direct sunlight, which can fade or damage the base over time.
Cleaning: Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or a small brush. Do not use water or chemical cleaners on the wire or base.
Handling: The branches are delicate. Handle with care when moving or adjusting the tree.
General Principles
Quality care is simple: avoid extremes, handle with intention, and clean regularly. These products are built to last, but they require your attention.
Treat them well, and they'll serve you for years.
